Denise DeZolt has worked for over 25 years in higher education in both campus-based and distance education. She earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Kent State University, her M.S. Ed. in Counseling from the University of Dayton, and her undergraduate degree in Behavioral Science from SUNY Plattsburgh. She is currently Senior Vice President, Academic Quality and Accreditation in the Laureate Network Office, Laureate Education. DeZolt’s community and professional service activities include participation on a number of college/university and community organization boards, involvement in professional organizations, and coordination of faith formation programs, and chairing and serving on human participants in research review boards. She has conducted research on multicultural, gender, and diversity issues in education; use of story and narrative inquiry; and spirituality and professional practice. Her presentations at international, national, state and local professional conferences have been in the areas of global accreditation and quality assurance, higher education in the for-profit sector, and distance education, psychology, gender education. She has also been the primary or co-primary investigator on a number of federal, state, local, foundation, and university grants related to service delivery to diverse populations of children and adolescents. Additionally, she worked in private practice and consulting for 10 years.
